Let’s Clear Things Up
What is the box made of?
The NODO Box is made from a combination of food-safe and heat-resistant materials:
Main body: Unexposed paper with a PE (polyethylene) lining on the inside
Medium plate tray: Polypropylene (PP)
Lid: Polypropylene (PP)
Mount (outer support): Paper
Heating kit compartment (KIT): PPF (polypropylene fabric)
Is the box reusable?
No, the NODO Box is designed for single use only.
How fast does the food heat up?
Your meal heats up in just 10–15 minutes no microwave, no hassle. Just activate the box and enjoy a hot dish anywhere, anytime.
What is the powder made of?
The heating powder contains a mix of aluminum powder and calcium oxide. When activated with water, this mixture produces heat through an exothermic reaction. Safe when used as instructed.
Which meals can be warmed up in the NODO Box?
You can heat up almost any ready-to-eat meal – from pasta, rice dishes and curries to noodles, soups and stews. Just avoid dry or crunchy items like fries or bread, as they may get soggy.
Can I order a small quantity of boxes?
Yes, small orders are possible! We understand that you may want to try out the NODO Box first. Just reach out to us for custom options or sample quantities.
Are these boxes allowed in the EU?
Yes, the NODO Box is compliant with EU regulations for food packaging and transport. The heating element is classified under UN 3131 (Class 4.3, PG II), and we follow all required safety and labeling standards. Always use as instructed.
Do I have to assemble the box myself?
Most boxes are delivered pre-assembled and ready to use. If any assembly is required, this will be clearly indicated in advance.
What if the heating powder touches the food?
The heating powder should never come into contact with food. The design ensures complete separation between the heating element and your meal. In the extremely rare case (less than 0.1%) of accidental contact, do not consume the food and dispose of it safely.
How much does one box weigh?
On average, a NODO Box weighs around 150–160 grams, depending on the type. Some versions may be slightly heavier due to added compartments or materials, but all are designed to be lightweight and easy to carry.
Can I store a NODO Box with food in the fridge?
Yes, absolutely. You can safely store a NODO Box with food in the refrigerator. The heating system is separate and won’t be affected by the cold. Just take it out when you're ready, activate the heating element, and enjoy a hot meal no microwave needed.
How should I store NODO Boxes in bulk?
Store the boxes in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Room temperature is ideal. There's no need for refrigeration unless food is already packed inside. Keeping them in a dark storage area helps preserve packaging quality over time.
How long do the boxes last?
